Smart Home Summit Preview: IoT Interoperability in the Industry

November 2, 2017

The team at Allion USA is looking forward to the Smart Home Summit – a conference focused on IoT interoperability and other challenges that could make or break the home industry – taking place November 15-16, at the Crowne Plaza in Palo Alto, CA. Interoperability testing is what Allion USA does best; working hand-in-hand with IoT product developers. This direct involvement in the development and testing process provides our team with a unique insight into the interoperability issues companies are facing.

According to a recent study conducted by TECHnalysis Research, 25% of US households employ at least one piece of smart home gear. Smart home devices are more and more available and accessible in the marketplace and while some respondents of the study own a smart lightbulb or smart lock, most have a smart speaker like Amazon’s Alexa or Google Home. Bob O’Donnell, president and chief analyst of TECHnalysis Research, will present these findings and more during his keynote The Evolving Smart Home at the Summit. This is an important time to talk about the role device interoperability plays in ensuring consumer satisfaction and we are looking forward to hearing O’Donnell and others share their insights and having one-on-one conversations with industry leaders.

Are you planning to attend the Smart Home Summit? If so, we’d like to meet with you to talk about 2018 connected home trends and discuss Allion USA’s proven interoperability testing process.
